2016 Mar 3
Local students attended the National Collegiate Leadership Conference at the University of Tucson on February 12-14, 2016. It regularly attracts 600 students from around the nation. The conference features over 90 workshops, community service projects, teambuilding and networking events, and motivational speakers. Many of the workshops are given by emerging college leaders and cover an array of topics, including leadership for civic engagement, leadership for social justice, leadership and technology, and best practices. The Leadership Center has been taking students to this conference since 2009, in partnership with financial support from other departments such as the Native American Center, El Centro de Muchos Colores, and Diversity Programming.
