Cade Kloster was honored at Fort Lewis College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee banquet

Cade Kloster, of Longmont, CO, was honored with the Don Whalen Outstanding Male Senior Athlete Award at the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) banquet, held April 20 in the Student Union Building Ballroom on the campus of Fort Lewis College. Kloster's major is Exercise Science.

The Don Whalen Outstanding Senior Male Athlete of the Year award is presented each year to the most outstanding senior male athlete(s) at Fort Lewis College. It is named after Dr. Don Whalen, a longtime coach, administrator and supporter of Skyhawk Athletics. During his career at Fort Lewis College from 1959 to 1988, he served as men's basketball coach, golf coach, director of athletics, dean of education, vice president of academic affairs and, ultimately, two stints as interim president. A five year member of the Fort Lewis College men's basketball team, Kloster has been a consistent leader on the court and in the classroom. He has been named the FLC Skyhawks Student-Athlete of the Week numerous times the past four years while gaining all-conference recognition.
