The Academic Achievement Awards is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division 2 level. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work, and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year. All 14 Skyhawk varsity programs had at least one student-athlete earn the award. Women's basketball led all teams with seven. Fort Lewis College is one of four institutions in the RMAC that were named to the D2ADA Academic Achievement Awards list. Western State Colorado University led the RMAC with 43 honorees, followed by FLC, Black Hills State University (32) and Western New Mexico University (31).
