Natalie Joe attended SACNAS National Convention

Natalie Joe, of Farmington, NM, attended the SACNAS (Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science) National Convention in Washington D.C on October 29-31. Joe presented a poster on her research, "A new octahedral cobalt (III) complex as a possible anti-cancer prodrug: synthesis and characterization studies in solid state and solution," a project with Assistant Professor of Chemistry Aimee Morris. Joe won an award for best poster presentation in Chemistry. Joe's major is Double Major: Biology - Cellular & Molecular Biology Option & Chemistry-Biochemistry Option.
