Shea Wales won scholarship to women's leadership conference

Shea Wales, of Oakland, CA, won a College-wide competition to earn a scholarship to the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders, held at the University of Maryland in June. Wales is majoring in Biology - Environmental and Organismic option.

The scholarship was funded by the Durango Chapter of the AAUW (American Association of University Women) and by the following programs at Fort Lewis College: the Gender and Women's Studies Program, the Gender and Women's Resource Center, the Leadership Center, and the Native American Center.
