Stanley Michael Presented at Undergraduate Research Symposium at Fort Lewis College

The Fort Lewis College School of Natural and Behavioral Sciences held its annual Undergraduate Research Symposium on Thursday, April 18, 2013. Student participants were selected by their departments to represent the best undergraduate research done at Fort Lewis College this year. Each department (Anthropology, Biology, Chemistry, Exercise Science, Environmental Studies, Geosciences, Mathematics, Physics and Engineering, and Psychology) selects two students to give talks, and up to eight groups of students to present posters. Many of these students have also presented their research at professional conferences in their disciplines.

Stanley Michael, of Durango, CO, presented a research project titled The policies of La Plata Electric Association and Tri-State generation and transmission: hindering solar energy production, supervised by Peter McCormick. Michael's major is Environmental Studies - Policy Option and Spanish - Spanish Option-Dual Language Option.
