Tehenia Telliano, of Reno, NV, earned 2016 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Softball post season Honorable Mention accolades. Telliano is a Exercise Science major.
A redshirt-junior, Telliano started 16 games and played in 28. She owned the best on-base percentage (.515) of any Skyhawk. In 53 plate appearances, Telliano batted .396 with 21 hits, eight runs, 11 runs batted in, one double and a home run. She drew 13 walks and finished the season with a .472 slugging percentage. Telliano posted a game high three hits on April 23 against Adams State.
This award is voted on by the league's sports information directors. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters. All student-athletes that meet those requirements, but were not voted First Team All-Academic automatically qualify for Honor Roll.
