Washburn named to the Capital One Academic All-District 6 Men's At-Large Team

For the second year in a row, Fort Lewis College men's golfer Dillon Washburn has been recognized on the Capital One Academic All-District 6 Men's At-Large Team. Earlier this spring, Washburn was named to the 2015 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference first team, and he was named the RMAC Men's Golf Summit Award winner. An Accounting major with a 3.97 grade point average, Washburn competed in 25 rounds this season and averaged 78.6 strokes per round. His lowest round was a 73, which he recorded twice at the RMAC Event No. 1 Sept. 22-23. At that tournament, Washburn also recorded a season low tournament score of 220. To be eligible for Academic All-America(R) consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.
