Wilbert Slowman recognized by the Leadership Center

Wilbert Slowman, of Cortez, CO, was recognized by the Dr. Terry R. Bacon Leadership Center. Slowman was recognized with this year's Freshman/Sophomore Excellence in Leadership award for his involvement with three different Registered Student Organizations, including Chess Mates, Physics and Engineering Club, and the Society for Advancing Hispanics/Chicanos & Native Americans in Science (SACNAS). Slowman is also a tutor and works for the STEM^3 office. Slowman's major is Physics - Engineering Physics Option .

The Leadership Center is the hub on campus for student involvement and houses student organizations (RSOs), leadership programs, Student Union Productions (SUP), student government (ASFLC), and wellness initiatives.
